Is it better to use them before you get wrinkles or at the onset of wrinkles?

Start using eye creams in your mid teens. If you have dry skin, you'll probably want to start using them in your mid 20s. or when you start to see faint lines or signs of aging.

You will laugh at this one, but most models/actresses use Preparation H (hemorrhoid medicine) as a preventative treatment for their eyes! It contains a vasoconstrictor and moisturizers which helps keep the sensitive eye skin bright.

With age, we all start facing a very common problem i.e. our skin becomes loose and starts sagging. Wrinkles start appearing near the area around the face and neck and the skin loses its former youthfulness.

These days you can find a number of wrinkle treatments that are available in the market other than the popular facelift. These treatments help a lot in making the skin of face and neck tight and giving a younger look.

Why do you think that we lose the brightness from our face when we get older? The main reason is that body starts taking a long time to replace the skin cells.  It requires double time to replace them at this age. As the cells become old, they give a dull look to the face.

 Different methods of wrinkle treatment:

1) A very common wrinkle treatment is the laser treatment or the laser resurfacing. People with dynamic wrinkles use this method. Due to various facial expressions that we use, our skin folds and over a period of time forms into wrinkles. Laser treatment is ideal for treating wrinkles formed by these expressions.

One disadvantage of this treatment is that it does not provide permanent relief. The old wrinkles get treated with it but our skin still keeps folding every day causing new wrinkles to appear. One may need to go for the same treatment again to get rid of the new ones.

With laser, the damaged skin cells are removed. The colour and texture of skins gets improved and Laser helps in making the skin tighter. It is however unable to fight the natural process of aging. Body still requires double time to replace the damaged cells on its own so one has to go for the same treatment in about six months.

2) A facelift is another treatment used by many people who have wrinkles that look like folded skin. Sagging of skin with time causes these wrinkles. In a facelift, these folds are pulled back and taken to their primary position. However, this treatment is also effective for a short time only. With passage of time, the skin will again become loose and start sagging. The person will require another facelift when this happens.

3) A number of other wrinkle treatments are also gaining popularity these days. One can get Botox and Collagen injections that fill in the wrinkles caused by various facial expressions over a period of time. This method also requires to be done again and again when required, generally after three to six months. The dynamic wrinkles or the facial movement wrinkles can also be treated by using chemicals peels like Dermabrasion and Themage.

I've got pretty good laugh lines or crow's feet. Looking into my options and really appreciate any help.
I've smoked for over 20 years and have gotten a lot of sun exposure. Most of my life folks have guessed my age an average of ten years less than I am. Over the past few years that has changed. Thanks!

Have you been over the counter at the mall?
You know where they sell makeup, skincare treatments, haircare treatments, ect?
Go there at the mall and ask them about Olay or Cliniques Anti-wrinkle treatment.

They have all sorts of skincare for mens, dont be embarssed either.
Thats their job.
Maybe you should ask about their products too, maybe this one to get the deep wrinkles that occur in your skin?
http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4914&PRODUCT_ID=PROD7655

Go to their website and check it out. Men can use their products too.
I also suggest stop smoking, drink 2-3 bottles of water everyday.
Eat healthy.
Get your 8 hours of sleep in.

Create a skincare rountine for you too.
Try exfloiating the dead cells of your skin by taking a simple loofah and put a cleanser on it and exlfoaite. It circulates the dead cells off and making your skin glow
and always remember…cleanse, toner, and moistruzer twice a day for healthy glowing skin.
Good luck

Does it penetrate through?

No, it won't work. You need to apply eye cream first and wait 30 sec to 2 mins (depends on the kind of cream that you use, if you use quick absorbing cream, it takes about 30 sec to 40 sec). Then you can put on moisturizer and make up and etc.

Recommended eye cream is Dior capture. You can get it from Sephora…it's a bit pricey. But it works. So good luck!

Science shows you simple ways to dramatically add years to your life.

Jeanne Louise Calment is, on record, the oldest person to have ever lived, passing away at age 122 (born in Arles, France, on February 21. 1875 and died on August 4, 1997). Her quotable quotes reveal a life well and vividly lived: “In life, one sometimes makes bad deals,” “I’ve only got one wrinkle and I’m sitting on it,” ” I took pleasure when I could. I acted clearly and morally and without regret. I’m very lucky.”

Modern scientific research is now revealing the secrets to a long and healthy life. Here’s how you can add almost 40 years to yours;

Have Fun

In the words of the Blues artist, Duke Tumato, “Work is good, but it’s not that good. When the work is through, it’s time for me and you to get loose!”

We shouldn’t need to be told, but it is vitally important to our health to have fun. We need to keep our working life, with all its pressures, in balance with a good social life. Don’t become a workaholic or an obsessive parent.

Leave some quality time for yourself. Do whatever it is that makes you enjoy yourself. Don’t be afraid to get out and have a few drinks if that’s what it takes for you to really let go.

Most people have enough vitality ti handle small amounts of alcohol without doing long lasting damage, and it really is important to relax and let your hair down a but. We have all heard of the wise advice “Everything is moderation.”

With that in mind, we would like to advise a little “Excess in moderation.” As the Duke advises, “Let’s get loose!”

Get Some Fresh Air

It seems that European nations, which suffer from some of the worst air quality, are losing two or more years in life expectancy because of the air pollution. These years are mostly lost to lung and heart problems. If two years sound minor, experts put it this way: Air pollution has the same mortality rate in Europe as road accidents.

Get out in nature as much as you can . Take the morning air as deeply as you can. Get up, raise your arms high, and expand those lungs. Whole systems of yoga are based on breath. At least do what should come naturally.

Be an Animal Lover

If the mind is the maker, it is the heart that sustains the mind and body. Without the help of love and contentment, all the dieting, exercising, breathing and mind control will be like loose change in a pocket full of holes. Love is the single most important elixir to long life.

Unconditional love is a real stress buster. Unfortunately, it’s hard to get that from humans, so get a pet!

Move Your Bootie

The Epic study researchers stress one important point: The amount of exercise a person needs depends on how active he is throughout the day. If you’re a pencil pusher, get one hour of exercise, such as swimming or jogging. If you’re more active, 30 minutes of exercise a day will do. By exercising, you cold outlive your office mates by three years.

Aging

You might think this belongs in the “have no control” category, yet although everyone ages, not everyone grows old. You can be a vibrant, trim ninety-six or a lethargic, obese forty-five.

Use of colostrums, along with prudent lifestyle choices (including a nutritious diet, regular exercise, stress reduction, and other healthy habits), can significantly change how you age and prevent you from growing old. The growth factors in colostrum are especially effective as anti-aging agents.

Colostrum supplies growth factors as well as stimulating the endocrine system to keep producing its own supply of hormones. Research strongly indicates that the combination of growth and immune factors in colostrum work together to create a potent anti-aging effect, including tighter skin (resulting in a reduction of wrinkles), and regrowth of cells and tissue of organs that normally decrease in size with age.

For centuries, people are interested on anti-aging skin care treatment. The reason behind this fascination is men and women want to look young at whatever age one is and to remain healthy.

If you want to fight against aging process, you need to take care of your whole body, life style and diet. In this article, we will look at how we can age more slowly when it comes to our skin, and our body.

Any anti aging routine for the skin and body should look followings:

1. Reduce oxidative stress from our lifestyle

2. Antioxidants are very important for our skin. A proper diet and drinking of enough water is essential to generate enough antioxidants.

Modern fast life style creates enough psychological stress. Excessive physical and mental stress increases secretion of “aging hormones” such as cortisol, adrenaline, and the reduction of the “anti-aging hormone” DHEA. Research report shows that after a successful treatment of clinically depressed patient, patient looks younger.

Aging skin is a natural process and is a direct result of many factors in the environment, as well as overall health. Aging skin is a problem for many people who are looking to maintain a youthful and attractive appearance. Time, climate, seasons, and diet are all contributors to the sagging, wrinkling, and general deterioration of skin. This is a cyclical process that can be prevented in many ways. Although many anti-aging treatments and creams are available in the marketplace, preventative action and a regular, healthy skin maintenance regime are critical in reducing the chances of aging skin from even occurring.

About Aging Skin

Skin ages slowly, but this process is accelerated from toxins in the environment and a lack of antioxidants in the body. Antioxidants are readily available from a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, in addition to supplements and engaging in regular exercise. Genes and nature play a role in the speed and impact of aging, and these are generally irreversible. Aging skin is more vulnerable to skin cancer, infections, and other skin diseases so extra maintenance and care is often necessary. Deep wrinkles can form just from excessive sun exposure, and sun spots and some forms of skin cancer are very common.

Signs of Aging Skin

Common signs and characteristics of aging skin include:

•Wrinkles around the eyes and mouth
•Dark circles and light pigmentation under the eyes
•Drooping eyelids and emphasized creases on the eyelids
•Excessively dry and thinning skin
•Decreased circulation in the face, resulting in a pallid complexion
•Rough or rugged complexion
•Prevalence of spider or varicose veins
•Increased hair loss
•Ridges on the nails, and thinning nails
•Hollowed cheeks and eye sockets, resulting in skin pulling away from the face
•Liver spots on the hands and face

Key Contributors of Aging Skin

Although there are many intrinsic factors that contribute to aging skin, there are also many external factors that can decrease skin’s natural defenses and ability to reproduce healthy cells. Toxins in the external environment can include:

•Cigarettes and smoking
•Sleeping positions that result in sleep lines and wrinkles simply from pressing the face against a rough material on a regular basis
•Dirt and sand from the environment, particularly in smog-filled or rugged environments
•Facial expressions that over-stretch the skin continuously and leave wrinkles
•Gravity and time: both are factors that cannot be controlled in and of themselves
•Sun exposure
•Lack of water or moisture that results in excessive drying
•Excessive humidity that leads to sweat and toxic buildup, which in turn may lead to warts or breakouts that dull the skin’s complexion
•Lack of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals from the diet
•Excessive alcohol or caffeine
•Too much tanning from tanning booths

All of these factors can cause considerable damage to the skin cells that makes them incapable of restoring themselves. Skin cells repair and restore themselves when they are healthy and strong. Antioxidants in the body can help create resistance against some of these factors, but others may be difficult to control or prevent.

Preventing Aging Skin

A healthy skin maintenance regime is vital for preventing aging skin, and reducing the risk of premature wrinkles and fine lines. Fine lines and wrinkles develop quickly when the cells cannot restore themselves frequently enough. Skin restoration and rejuvenation is a natural way that the skin rids itself of toxins and is able to create new cells. If this process is damaged or blocked, it will lead to premature aging and deterioration of skin health. Preventing aging skin will involve:

•Wearing plenty of sunscreen when outdoors
•Moisturizing and applying allergy-free skin products on a regular basis
•Engaging in light exercise to sweat out toxins on a regular basis
•Adopting a healthy, balanced diet that includes a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and water
•Maintaining a steady skin care regime that includes regular cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and exfoliation
•Reducing stress naturally and getting plenty of sleep on a regular basis
•Eliminating harmful toxins such as cigarettes, alcohol, and caffeine
•Reducing sun exposure and visits to the tanning booth

Treatments for Aging Skin

There are a variety of treatments available for aging skin, and the specific type of treatment will be recommended by a dermatologist, physician, or even cosmetologist. Most aging skin is continuously dry, so a part of the maintenance program will involve plenty of moisturizers and infusions of moisture-rich products. Common treatments for aging skin include:

•Cosmetic wrinkle fillers
•Botox treatments
•Skin rejuvenation and buffering treatments
•Facials and chemical peels
•Face lifts and surgery that reduces sagging skin
•Hair restoration
•Laser peels
•Photo rejuvenation using pulsating light
•Natural treatments and organic products to infuse skin with essential vitamins and minerals
•Dietary changes that introduce high-antioxidant fruits and vegetables daily
